Saona Island Escape

Bávaro Splash

A
one-day tour to the oldest city in the Americas. Our morning visits
include the “Three Eyes", a series of underground caverns, the Columbus
Lighthouse - the explorer's final resting place - and the national
aquarium with its collection of marine life. A typical Dominican lunch
is included in a downtown restaurant and in the afternoon there is time
to explore the colonial area of the city, including a visit of the
Alcazar de Colon, the palace built for Christopher Columbus' son Diego,
and a walk along "Calle las Damas" (The Ladies' Street), the oldest
street of the new world. Time for shopping in the main city
thoroughfare, El Conde and the "Mercado Modelo" (market) for more
typical local souvenirs where bartering is fun.
